A couple references used to perfect those big brown eyes and his pouty lips, but otherwise, drawn from mental images. No reference for pose or expression.
This is my lovely, lovely guy friend Jacob Kaplon. I am in love with his big brown doe eyes and his lips! He's a glorious person to draw, with a rich, deep, super-intellectual personality and this incredible sensitivity. He's a sweet, sweet guy who tends to kind of hide into his little shell, keep away from people who he doesn't know. I tried to show that. He wears eyeliner a lot, I was hinting at that... God this one was fun. Those big brown eyes! They get me every time! He's such a gorgeous man! |
